Upcoming Holiday Monday

Dear colleagues,

Good afternoon! You are receiving this as a timekeeper or time approver for Kronos. We want to remind you that the upcoming Monday is a holiday, and payroll must run on Tuesday during a compressed timeframe in order for employees to be paid on Friday. Please be certain to remind employees to approve timecards by the end of the day on Friday, and please make arrangements to review and approve the timecards for employees you supervise so they are ready to be pulled electronically on Monday at 1 p.m. This is an automated process to pull the timecards.

Please note that the deadline for anything to come in through payroll input will be NOON on Friday so that the data can be pulled prior to the holiday and reviewed. Please be certain to fully logout of the transaction input module in GP by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022. If you do not, the payroll team is unable to pull the file until you do.

Please feel free to reach out to Dan Redding if you have any questions.

Kronos Timekeepers and Approvers Site is Live!

Good morning Kronos Timekeepers and Approvers!

We want to let you know that we have made a site dedicated to the information you need in your timekeeper work. Many thanks to Samantha D’Alessio for her support helping us create and publish this.

https://timekeepers.k12albemarle.org/

This site contains the administrative procedures that were released through the Payroll Clarity Project as well as ADP implementation, and it also contains important information for new hires in your school or department who need assistance getting up to speed with Kronos and ADP. As with the Compass, information is archived here for you to come back and refer to when you need it.

We also want to share some information for our 10-month employees. In general, our ten month exempt employees who follow the student calendar (primarily teachers and roles on the teacher pay scale) will receive their last check for the school year on August 19. Non-exempt ten month staff will receive their last check of the school year on June 24 (for the work period June 4-17). After that, non-exempt staff will only receive checks when they work during the biweekly periods, until they return for the new school year around August 15, and they will see their first check of the new school year on September 2. There are slight adjustments to that schedule for 11 month exempt and non-exempt employees. Those calendars are being finalized and will be posted soon.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out to Time@k12albemarle.org if you need additional assistance. Thanks for all you are doing!
