Earlier today, a Tech Advisory message was sent to all staff with information on how to access Kronos going forward. That message included information on a new temporary password for ALL employees (even those who had their password manually reset by HR in the last two weeks). After logging in with that temporary password, the system will automatically ask you to create a new password. Please make a note of that newly created password!
Be sure to log in to Kronos to change your password. This is especially true for any supervisors or timekeepers who have access to multiple employee records.
As timekeepers and/or supervisors, we ask that you please help your employees gain access to their own Kronos using that information.

If you received a notification from us last Friday confirming that your password was changed as requested (7/9/2025 Temporary Kronos Access for Timekeepers), we believe that change held over the weekend.
If you signed up for access this morning but have not yet received a confirmation email, we are currently working through those requests and will notify you once your access is ready.
We are actively working with the Department of Technology and Gov IT on granting access to all employees.

While we work toward a permanent solution, the HRIS team can temporarily reset your Kronos password each day to allow access from your primary work location.
To request access on a specific day, please use the sign-up form below. Please sign up for one day at a time.
Password access will be active from 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM each day.
You will receive an individual notification when your password has been reset, including the updated password.
If you need access before 10:00 AM or encounter any issues, please email time@k12albemarle.org directly.
We appreciate your patience and hope to implement a permanent fix soon. If anything changes with this plan, we will share that information with the field.
Please note that individual employees will still not have access to their timecards. This temporary fix is ONLY for those with timekeeper/supervisor access.
We will again be hosting open labs next week in the HR Conference Room (COB McIntire) to ensure timecard data is entered in a timely manner. Please stop by if you are able. If you only have a few employees to keep track of (5 or fewer), we will be available via Zoom (Zoom Link) during those same times. When signing up, please note whether or not you will be in-person or meeting with us via Zoom. Please sign up for as many sessions as you think you will need.
If you sign up for a Zoom session, please know that we won’t be able to share our screens. You will need to clearly explain what needs to be done, step by step, so the HR employee using the special laptop can enter the information for you. The computers we are using are not connected to the internet or a printer. So, we can’t take screenshots or export any data from Kronos.
